Customers first! LTW modified the thread gauge for RJ Series Connectors

As RJ series connectors widely apply to rugged industrial control and automation environments, LTW has modified the thread gauge for RJ series connector from 13/16”-28UN to 13/16”-16UN which is much thicker than original one.  Due to the faster mating lock requirement in assembling process in rugged environments, the strong locking force could result in being stripped. After receiving this feedback from our customers, LTW modified the thread gauge to solve this issue and improved the convenience of assembling process.

Customers’ voice is always part of LTW product-improvement program. The modified products had been tested in laboratory; the experimental statistics show the original thread gauge, 13/16”-28UN will cause thread stripping at the torque force of 16~17 kgf-cm. The modified thread gauge, 13/16”-16UN will not cause thread strip at the torque force of 40 kgf-cm. The result proves that LTW modified thread gauge could really solve the thread stripping problem.  Below are photos and comparison of part number about new and old connectors.
